Our event organizers have already tested out the following restaurants and they all come highly recommended…
- Shuang Ba
As the crown jewel of Grand Hyatt Baha Mar’s culinary offerings, chefs at Shuang Ba utilize the finest ingredients in creating a new Chinese haute cuisine. Diners will experience an unprecedented menu of flavors that meld traditional and contemporary. Signature dishes include: “Cherry” foie gras; Traditional peking duck; Braised “black-gold” abalone; Fragrant iberico pork with preserved tofu, wrapped with crepes; Chaozhou style truffle & vegetable dumplings; and Steamed imperial bird’s nest, crystal sugar in orange. Seafood specialties are prepared using locally sourced fresh catches including lobsters, crab, abalone and conch, which are housed in four aquariums where guests can personally select their entrée. Libations include a selection of Baijiu, a highly regarded Chinese liquor that are bottled in beautifully designed and decorated glass vessels. Traditional Eastern and Western tastes converge with Chinese five spice-infused cocktails that incorporate house-made syrups; the Double Dragon will feature dragon fruits, and the Far East Fashioned is inspired by the traditional cocktail, the Old Fashioned.
- Katsuya by Starck
Katsuya pairs master sushi Chef Katsuya Uechi’s fresh takes on Japanese classics with design icon Philippe Starck’s sleek and sultry interior in a unique sushi restaurant. Chef Uechi skillfully evolves Japanese sushi and robata classics with inspired dishes including Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna, Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño and Miso-Marinated Black Cod in addition to Baha Mar exclusives – Conch Salad and Conch-oyaki. Katsuya’s award-winning mixology program includes signature cocktails like the Burning Mandarin with hand-crushed serrano chili and The Samurai with yuzu and ginger.
- Cleo Mediterráneo
Named OpenTable’s “50 Hottest Restaurants in the U.S.”, Cleo, is pleased to announce its newest location in the heart of Nassau at the SLS Baha Mar. Cleo captures the vibrancy of Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, where new yet familiar flavors are enhanced by worldly charm. Award-winning Chef Danny Elmaleh takes you on a culinary adventure, adapting his original Cleo menu with local ingredients. Enjoy delicious shareable plates, mezzes, flatbreads and handcrafted cocktails in a warm and intimate yet energetic atmosphere.
- Fi’lia by Michael Schwartz
James Beard Award Winning Chef Michael Schwartz brings honest Italian food featuring fresh ingredients from the hearth and the simplicity of handmade artisanal breads and pasta to Fi’lia. A meal begins with a crusty loaf, presented with olive oil and oregano snipped at the table. Rustic pizzas from the wood oven highlight beautiful produce in season in special combinations. Caesar salad is tossed tableside in a shower of shaved Parmigiano from a roaming cart, with the smell of toasted garlic croutons reminding you of how satisfying and memorable the classics can be.
WHAT TO WEAR
It’s The Bahamas, so the entire conference is business casual – so no need for jackets and ties, but not quite shorts and flip flops!
The parties are casual attire, but at the same time… we’re at the upscale Baha Mar Resort either at a cool beach / poolside venue, swanky nightclub or hanging in the largest casino in The Caribbean, so feel free to make more of an effort if you wish.
