Join us for another fun GNEX Golf Tournament on 20th February at the conveniently located Miami Beach Golf Club, just 8 minutes away from Fontainebleau Miami.

Originally opened as Bayshore Golf Course in 1923, pioneering developer Carl Fisher designed this course to lure wealthy winter residents from New York, Indianapolis and Detroit. In World War II, the U.S. Army rented the course for $1 a year as a training ground, and helmeted, rifle-toting soldiers ran through the course’s palm trees amid the smoke from smoke grenades. In early 2000’s the course received a major $10 million face-lift where every blade of grass and most trees were removed; lakes drained, redesigned and refilled; irrigation system replaced, even hills and bunkers bulldozed and resculpted; the old clubhouse demolished and a new clubhouse was constructed. Today it’s home to the South Beach International Amateur competition which has one of the best and largest international fields in the world with 28 or more countries represented.

This event will comprise of our favorite format – a Twosome Scramble where players play the best ball on every shot and also benefit from handicaps.

Trophies for winners will be provided by GNEX and prizes for closest to the pin and longest drive challenges.

For the benefit of networking two twosomes will play together as a team of four, but their scores will be as a twosome. So…

• Purchase any number of single player tickets and we will create teams that give you the chance to network and get to know new people as you play.
• If you want to control who you play with, purchase one or two twosomes to play with company execs or clients of your choice*.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

• Make your own way to the course at your leisure prior to 9.00AM (just 8 minutes cab ride from the Fontainebleau!)
• 9:00 First Tee Off Time
• 1.30 Lunch and Awards (approximately) then depart at your leisure back to the hotel.
