Travel + Leisure Co. International employs close to 6,000 employees across nine countries with corporate offices in Singapore; Shanghai, China; Tokyo, Japan; Bali, Indonesia; Clark in the Philippines; and the Gold Coast, Australia. The business oversees some 89 hotels and resorts across 10 countries, with dedicated management teams in Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Fiji, Indonesia and Thailand.

It develops, markets and sells vacation ownership in three leading vacation clubs, Club Wyndham South Pacific, Club Wyndham Asia, and Accor Vacation Club.

The foundation of Travel + Leisure Co. International’s outstanding leadership lies in its core value of delivering Hospitality with Heart – Hospitality, Engagement, Accountability, Respect and Teamwork.

The company offers a fulfilling work environment with an inclusive team that values diversity and is built on a foundational respect for people from all over the world. Its healthcare, mental health, and well-being benefits are industry leading, and more benefits have recently been added to help retain associates, including birthday leave and an increase on referral payments.

• The company fosters diversity through translated communications and its Diversity Resource Groups (DRGs). Currently, the Pride International DRG initiative has over 377 members across 16 countries and has significantly contributed to creating an inclusive environment for LGBTQIA+ employees and allies, through initiatives like events to introduce associates to new perspectives, and Zoom sessions with internal and external interviewees.
• The Women in Travel (WIT) International DRG supports over 1,400 female associates in EMEA and APAC and is dedicated to inspiring and developing women throughout their professional development through meet and mingle events, and contributing to the wellbeing of women elsewhere through fundraising events like donations for period poverty.
• The company’s First Nations Committee has developed a comprehensive First Nations Peoples Strategy for Australia and New Zealand / Aotearoa (2023-2025). This strategy covers various aspects of cultural sensitivity, including guidelines for dual naming, country acknowledgements, flag protocols, and community engagement.
• The company’s philanthropic arm, Wishes by Wyndham has raised approximately US$500,000 for good causes, predominantly children’s charities, since 2009, through events like raffles, morning tea events, dress up days and, recently, an egg and spoon race.
• The company has a strong emphasis on sustainability. Green teams have:
o Released over 140 baby turtles into the sea as a part of turtle conservation program
o Planted 73 fruit-bearing trees in the Philippines
o Cleaned up beaches in Fiji, collecting 267 kilograms of litter
o Restored the polluted Kali Pedok riverbed in Indonesia
o Replaced plastic swipes across the resort collection with biodegradable bamboo room keys and installed bulk dispenser amenities
o Installed solar panels at a selection of resorts to significantly reduce energy consumption and therefore carbon emissions.

The company’s commitment to community impact extends even further with its Club Wyndham Surf Challenge, an annual surf event which raised over AU$32,000 for the FSHD Global Research Foundation in 2024. The not-for-profit organisation aims to improve quality of life for people living with Facioscapulohumeral Dystrophy (FSHD). Through these fundraisers, the Foundation has made significant moves, such as having Australia included in a global clinical trial network for people with Facioscapulohumeral Dystrophy.

The company’s Be Well program focuses on improving the mental, physical, and financial health of Associates, who are offered health-related benefits, free desk massages at some locations, team health and fitness activities, resources and financial advice. Last year, the company initiated a Wellness Carnival Day in Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji where associates had the opportunity to learn more and experience some of their benefits. In addition, the company was also involved in Bupa’s Healthy Cities Global Movement Challenge across Asia Pacific.

Associates enjoy a broad range of benefits, including access to an Employee Assistance Program, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, substantial travel and accommodation discounts worldwide, and birthday leave. Some markets offer further benefits including subsidised private health cover and membership to a platform with exclusive discounts from local businesses.

Associates can recognise colleagues who go above and beyond through a generous reward system; nominated staff are then eligible to attend exclusive national or international conferences. Referral bonuses are generous and more than 323 new staff were sourced through referrals in 2024, up from 320 in 2023 – indicating staff enjoy working for the business.

Focused on career progression, 209 associates were promoted last year, up from 100 in 2022. Leadership courses are offered to all who show leadership potential. Several Directors and Vice Presidents, and one member of the Executive Team, have been promoted up the ranks from more junior positions.

The company plans to schedule 90 participants, including from Singapore, the Philippines, and Australia to complete a program to develop talented emerging leaders in 2025. This year, the company achieved a staff engagement rate of 4.23 out of 5, an increase from 4.2 in 2023.
