To capitalize on our customer’s quest for data and knowledge, SPI has recently released our newest module – SPInsights. SPInsights utilizes Microsoft’s Power BI platform, a business analytics service created by Microsoft. SPInsights provides business intelligence capabilities with an interface that is easy for end-users to develop their own reports and dashboards. By using Power BI with SPInsights properties can transform their data into clear visualizations that help management better understand their operation while opening endless possibilities with data analysis and reporting capabilities.

Third-party data sources can also be accessed by SPInsights. By combining multiple data sets into one business intelligence application, management can eliminate data silos that slow down and limit the ability to make real-time revenue-generating decisions. Data is only useful if it is accurate, timely, and accessible, all challenges that are being solved by the SPInsights.

Another recent addition to the SPI Software was an industry-led response to the CoVid-19 pandemic. With resorts doing everything possible to adapt to social distancing and still provide exceptional customer service, it was clear the check-in process at resorts had to be re-imagined. Guests now wanted an expedited check-in process and the less time spent during the registration process, the better. Not only would an expedited check-in process benefit the guest, but also assure the safety of employees that were servicing the front desk and welcome centers. Our industry needed a solution and SPI answered the call.

With SPI’s PreCheck functionality, customers are able to bypass the front desk and check-in directly to their unit. Resorts can gather information before check-in, door and lock codes can be shared, and guests can be notified when their units are clean and ready for check-in. Offering mobile check-in services is one of the most adapted hospitality trends we have seen in 2020/2021 and SPI was one of the first to provide this service.
